Good food, good beer, local atmosphere. Don't expect fancy, but very friendly.

9 beer flights - babam was the favorite but probably too intense for a full pint, Nordic blonde was a good summer time brew. Amber and the retro red were most drinkable Bison quesadillas are a must Good mountain folk vibe

I don't really know what to think about LPB...It's kind of a love-hate relationship. I was off on the place for a long time because of the bad service, but visited a few times in the off season (May) and had excellent food and service! They had an amazing waitress, but she appears to be gone now?? So, back to the same crappy servers. The blonde one with the nose ring is really bad. She seemed to be hung over or sick this time, and kept touching her face, mouth and hair...gross. Never friendly, generally acts like she doesn't give a hoot, and sitting down at the bar half the time. My guess is she only works there because she is friends with the owners?? It's frustrating, because LPB can be SO good...if only they would hire professional waitstaff!

Jambalaya was great. Spicy hot just like I like it. Our Waitress Katelyn was very nice and extremely helpful. We have been hitting brewerys from Denver, Fort Collins and Paso Robles, Ca. The Steep N Deep winter ale is the BOMB!!!

I've been on a two week road trip from Paso Robles, CA through Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, and now to Montana. Stopped here and got a great tasting IPA and surprisingly the jambalaya.. The IPA isn't that hoppy, but that's a good change up from all the IPA's I've been drinking from state to state. And the jambalaya was the thing to get. Spicy and full of shrimp/sausage/chicken. Katy our server was great. Friendly, knowledgable, and quick. All and all great spot!

Came here for some chili & cornbread... what a mistake! The lady who greeted us, who turned out to be the owner, was not especially friendly. We sat down at a table and a server came to get our drink order. I ordered my chili (with only cheese on top) and my friend ordered a bison burger. After 15 minutes or so, the server came by to apologize in advance for a long wait as the kitchen has been slammed. Okay not a big deal, we weren't in a hurry. We continued to wait and watched as food was slowly being delivered to other tables. I imagine the other people had been waiting awhile for their food since they were there before us, but everyone was drinking which might have helped them pass the time. The clock kept ticking and our server passed by our table several times and failed to acknowledge us. It was about an hour in when our server stopped by and said, "You guys should be next, almost everyone is gone now." What a weird thing to say. Why didn't she say she was checking on our food? She was completely oblivious to what was happening in the kitchen. And she really should have been by several times to apologize for the wait and not just ignore us. That's bad service. I kept thinking about getting up and leaving, but then I kept thinking it couldn't be much longer. I was so wrong. We watched as a party who arrived after us received their hot wings. I was beyond irritated. I just wanted chili! You scoop it out of a kettle into a bowl! I wondered if my friend had gotten chili instead of a burger if it would have taken as long... An hour and 20 minutes in, our food finally arrived. Unbelievable. The server thanked us for our patience and said if we had been drinking she would bring us some free booze. My friend said we would appreciate a discount on our meal. She said she would check with the owner. As for the food, the cornbread was a tiny, cold, dry, corn muffin. How sad. The chili was fine. My friend showed me the pickle that came with his burger. I thought he had taken a bite out of it, but that was how it came! It was like half a pickle! We were astonished. I don't know if it was the last one in the jar, but why even bother? We wouldn't have known the difference. The server told us she was able to get 10% off our meal. Better than nothing, but certainly not enough. And as for the owner, she was much more interested in taking shots at the bar with customers than helping the kitchen speed up food service. We saw her out there the whole time so we know she didn't go back once to see what was going on in the kitchen. What a poor excuse for a business owner! We had such a miserable experience here. If you're hungry, stay far away from this place.

Our family went here twice within three days. Food was delicious but the service was marginal. The Bison Brat was delicious and the Bison Flank Quesadilla was equally as good. The IPAs were awesome, but I especially liked the Dark Shine of the Moon. Excellent!! Great spot for lunch or a drink in Big Sky.

Each time I have visited the brewery it has been a weekend day and they always only have one person working the floor. Last time we went the one person handled it decently well, but today being a holiday you would think they would have maybe scheduled two-four people? When we went a few weeks ago one of the servers friends was behind the bar trying to help them out. Told our table she wasn't employed there. The server today was so stressed out that the interaction with our tables and other tables around us felt uncomfortable. The beer here I think for the most part is pretty good better than the food I've had but today it tasted like water. On average you spend 40 plus minutes waiting for food so do not go if you are in a hurry. Perks they have other things besides just beer and wine. The specials we had were significantly better than things on the menu...

Wow this place is amazing try a nitro tap. We had lobster sandwich philly steak. And chips with queso just enough heat. We will be back soon!

I came here a couple times on my recent vacation. This is a brewery that is also a full bar and a restaurant. As such, it does not have to deal with the Montana "tasting room" limitations (limited hours and 3 beers per customer). I found the staff at the taphouse to be friendly and hard working. I enjoyed most of the beers I tried, and some of them quite a bit. I was particularly fond of the "Rasbeery" Wheat, which was very refreshing on a hot day. They are pouring some rather stiff drinks here as well. The food was also rather good. I tried the 1/3 pound bison burger (make 'em angry style) with jalapeno spread, chipotle aioli, and pepper jack cheese for a $2 upcharge). My burger was a bit more done than I had requested, but the flavors were solid. The crosscut fries that came with the burger were some of the tastiest ones I have every enjoyed.

We enjoyed our time hanging out at Lone Peak Brewery. They have a shuffle board table. My husband thought the beers were OK.

Lone Peak Brewery has the best food and local brews in Big Sky! The service is usually A-OK, I remember we were there on Christmas Eve and our server was quite high, but it made the visit that much more memorable. The food is always spot on, their sandwiches hot and delicious, try the sweet potato fries with it! Great spot to meet up with friends to enjoy a beverage.

I've waited a few days to write this because I wanted to think about my visit and see if I felt differently after a few days, I don't. When I walked in the bartender, who was very friendly, greeted me and promptly took my drink order/gave me a menu. This is when things started to get awkward. Another gal, who I'm pretty sure is the owner, kept interjecting herself into the normal process which did nothing but cause confusion. After the bartender took my order the owner comes up and asks if I want something to eat, the bartender, who was standing right there, tells her it's already been taken care of. The owner then asks if she included my beer on my meal ticket, which the bartender advised she had?? Food came out quick and was very good. I advised the bartender to include a growler fill on my ticket, gave her my card and said I would go out to my car and get my glass. When I walk back in with my glass the owner greets me...uh, I've been sitting in here for the past hour?? Before the bartender can reach for the growler the owner jumps in, takes the growler and asks what I want, which I had already told the bartender prior. I advised and then the owner says across the bar to make sure I pay for the growler fill?? The bartender told her it had already been paid for. If the owner hadn't been there, I would probably have given them 5 stars because the beer, food and bartender were great, but the owner made me feel uncomfortable the entire time I was there. It was just a strange deal all the way around.

Went here on a Saturday night for a birthday party with 8 people, and couldn't be happier with the food, service, and staff that were there. There are a lot of reviews here on Yelp that we read before we went that seem really negative, for some reason, and I must say our experience was nothing but positive. The beer was delicious, the food was great and there were lots of options on the menu, and the server we had was very friendly and helpful (and cute!) She even brought out cake for the birthday boy and helped us take photos. About the only complaint I could have is that one of our pitchers of beer was cloudy from it being at the end of a keg, though it still tasted fine.

I spent a week solo in Big Sky while at a conference in February '14. Lone Peak became my go-to after hours brew and dinner spot. The beer is great (bourbon stout!), the fish and chips delish, and I appreciated that I could read a book at the bar as a single chic without being bothered. Bartender Jeremiah and the owner (oops, didn't catch his name) were particularly awesome and gave lots of tips on where to eat/drink/hike. Planning to make a detour the next time we're in MT so we can stop by for a visit.

We ordered the raspberry beer and fish and chips. You can't go wrong with fried foods and beer, right? Service was fine. We got our check very promptly.

  • Leif Z.

Good beer, nice location, and decent food. Service is the standard for Big Sky, not good. Always understaffed and can take forever to just get a beer. I will go back because it's the only brewery in BS.

  • Michael G.

Great beer. Great attitudes by the staff. We've been coming here for years and have yet to have the bill accurate or have everyone get their food at the same time. Seems someone's order is always mixed up. We come back because the beer is always great and the food is terrific.

Brew pubs are over rated, this place is nothing special. its popular and its gets plenty of visitors not a very complete menu if you want to eat, as one of the locals recommended, stop here for a beer and eat at first place pub Thats what I did

    (2)
  • Megan V.

We took the advice of others here and stopped here for drinks and went over to the First Place Pub for dinner. That is definitely the way to go. Drinks at Lone Peak are very good. Husband had a bourbon stout that he raved about for days afterward, and I had one of the Montana Lemonades that included the huckleberry vodka the area is known for. If we're ever back in the area, I know the husband will drag me back so he can try more beers.

We visited the Lone Peak Brewery on 1/3/15 for my friends 30th birthday dinner. Mediocre at Best. As we walked into the restaurant we noticed a flyer on the door hiring for runners, wait staff, and kitchen help. We probably should have taken that sign on the door as a hint to turn around, instead we proceeded... Upon being seated we received attitude from the waitress. I understand it is busy, and you are understaffed, but from people that have all worked in the service industry we know that you are paid to be pleasant to the customers. Instead she rushes us through our beer order and appetizers. The beers come promptly out and shortly after the wings arrive. We take it upon ourselves to grab our own napkins and plates from the service station after waiting several minutes for them. We also have the pleasure of bussing our own table upon completion of the aps. The waitress returns to take food orders. She asks "if we need another minute or if we would like to order now while she is still here," again with attitude. Upon payment, after our meal, she snaps her fingers at my friend for the cash in his hand and then has the audacity to ask how much we should run the credit cards for in order to include a tip. I have not received this poor of service in a long time and will not be returning to this establishment. Oh if you were wondering about the food... Many of us got burgers and fries. The default meal, one that should probably be on point. We could have received just as good of burger at Carls junior and saved money. All the other food that was presented to the table was mediocre with a larger price tag. The only thing I truly enjoyed were the fries. Unfortunately Lone Peak Brewery has the potential to be a great place. They have good beer and a nice dinning atmosphere. I believe they need to drop the food and stick to brewing beer or drastically improve the food, and/or pricing, and find better, and moor help for their business. If your looking for a place in Big Sky I would steer clear of Lone Peak Brewery.

It is great local brewery, we absolutely love it !! The beer is great, the food is great!! If you want real local experience, this is that! We came for sky here 3rd year and every time we have dinner here once and every te is great!!

  • Eric W.

My food came out ice cold. The beers are not good either. Coming from a craft beer fan, it pains me to type this. I don't typically give a one star review but when I can't eat my dinner and have to get a premade sandwich at the market next door then that's what you deserve. Avoid this place like the plague.

My first experience at the brewery was wonderful! The brewery has a unique, fun atmosphere, and is a clean establishment. The staff always had a smile on their face even when dealing with big, loud parties and made time to come check on myself at the bar. The food and beer was delicious, but I was a little bummed with the size of the full rack of ribs. They were still very tasty though! Looking forward to returning.

Pathetically slow service. My soup came out lukewarm and it took 20 minutes to get it back. The advertised 12 ounce cup of soup is six ounces, at best. The food was mediocre when it finally arrived.

This review applies to both the brewery and the taphouse. The perfect summer day in the Gallatin Canyon: you and your buddies start fly fishing when the sun hits the Gallatin, during the spruce moth hatch. Fish hard until 3PM. Get back in the car and drive to Big Sky. Arrive at Lone Peak Brewery just in time for happy hour (4PM). Order some food off the happy hour menu and a Bourbon Barrel Stout. Settle in and relive your fish stories. Agree to get back on the water at 6, just before the sun leaves the valley. Order a Nordic Blonde (ale). Order some chili cheese fries to share. Watch 6 come and go. Now you can start drinking seriously. Get a sampler of all the brews. It will be hard to choose your next pint, be assured, it is hard to go wrong. Now it is time for dinner. Order whatever the special is. Pick your second favorite beer from the sampler. Plan the next day on the water. Hope that tomorrow is nearly as good as today.

5 stars for the beer...3 stars for the food. The chips & queso were very good; the soups were great, too. We had a variety of burgers...all were good but not great.

Great onion rings and buffalo wings (though I'd order without the BBQ sauce next time). We tried the amber V and Nordic Blonde. Both were excellent. Service was friendly and fast!

  • TJ B.

Great beer, friendly service and good burgers and specials. They seem to focus on the burgers, which were fine. (it's a burger) The specials that we saw and tried were particularly good. Other than the beef stew which was gelatinous and bland. The jalapeno spread is off the charts flavorful and spicy! If you don't like spicy food, definitely get it on the side of whatever you order. Otherwise, though, you are in for a treat! It's great stuff. Go here and enjoy the beer, drinks, service and casual fun food. Based on what they are making for specials, I think they could kick up their menu a bit with some fancier items, but the place was packed for dinner so whatever they do seems to be working.

If you like breweries and I do, this is a great place! Laid back, fantastic beer choices... I don't seem to like a lot of their beers (personal choice) but the Nordic Blonde my wife ordered was the surprise favorite of the day. Service was perfect, crowd was typical... people looking for a goof beer! Go enjoy some beer and swap ski stories!

I came to Big Sky, Mt for a week of Snowboarding and hopefully some good food. We came across this place when the restaurant in the area we were staying were booked solid. All i have to say is I'm so glad the other restaurants were book! Our group was 10 people and everyone LOVED the food. I highly suggest getting the angry bison burger! Cooked to perfection. Their wings have an interesting twist too. But I haven't even mentioned the best part yet....... Their extensive list of local brews!! I am a lighter beer drinker and really enjoyed the "Head plant" pale ale. Everyone else tried a different kind from ambers to ipa to stout and each enjoyed the full flavor. This is a MUST goto place when in the resort town. Extremely reasonably priced too.

Beer and apps (wings, quesadilla) were great, devoured everything. Some of the staff were not very outgoing or friendly during our visit though.

Great local spot! Just tried the beers and they were pretty great. The food menu looked good too. A little pricy, but thats Big SKy for ya, its a ski town so everything is a little more money. Atmosphere was nice and cozy:) I will be going back to try the food.. another review to follow.

I still stand by my review and I appreciate the owner responding and showing everyone in writing what I was trying to say... she has horrible customer service. If she "killed me with kindness" I would hate to see what she considers her bad side. I will never go again and I understand that as one person that won't matter to a business. I just wouldn't feel right supporting someone who feels it is ok to treat a customer the way she did. It was an unfortunate experience.

Two draft beers and two "montanna lemonades", chips and salsa...$30. Yep, never again.

  • Dustin P.

Damn. Fresh beer doesn't get much better than this. The Hippie Highway Oatmeal Stout is off the charts. Buck Snort Porter is amazing as well. Both make for wonderfully dark selections. If you are into lighter brews, then be sure to sip on the Nordic Blonde Ale. It's light and refreshing, especially after a long day on the slopes. The place was filled with friendly locals and tourists. They all seemed to get along well (probably because of the tasty beer). They offer some appetizers if you get hungry, unfortunately the place closes early (8pm) so be sure to get some for the road (they offer growlers, Nalgenes, and Party Pigs - which are like mini kegs) to leave with some refreshments.

Great waitress Katie. Ordered the bison burger and it was great. Also had the community wheat beer and hell roaring ale And liked the hell roaring better. I would definitely eat here again. Friendly and laid back.

BF and I went here two days while in Big Sky, first day we were too late for food and just had beers, second day we had food. Had high hopes since apparently the same guy who started Lone Peak also started Flying Dog (CO). The first day, they were closing up and blasting tunes from a snowboard movie, BF got the bourbon stout and I had the Steep and Deep (winter ale). Steep and Deep has been my go to while in MT, 8.1% - not too hoppy - tasty winter ale. Maybe I am old or something, but the music was way too loud while having guests inside. Even though they were open to 10p, we were told the kitchen closes at 9p (not on their website, etc.) and was offered something fried. No thanks, sticking with beer. We went another day to get food and beer, I had a house salad with salmon and BF had bison quesadillas. Good food, but average, nothing spectacular. I was thinking for a $6 up-charge that I'd get more salmon, but quality over quantity perhaps, since it was supposedly wild Alaskan salmon. The jalapeño cilantro dressing was good. BF enjoyed the quesadilla. Had some good conversation with older ski bum guys that were taking home bottles of oatmeal stout. If you like fancy beers, stick with that, the bourbon stout, or steep and deep. This place gets 4 starts for beer/service, three stars for food.

Been going to LPB for several years now. Unfortunately, like so often happens, they appear to be on a downhill slide. Winter of 2014 now and I would not recommend this restaurant/brewery to anybody. Our most recent visit found the brewery OUT of their most popular beers. Imagine, the only supply chain that you totally control, and you run out. I guess the silver lining is that we got to try several of their less popular beers, and now we know why they are less popular. Moving on to the menu. A burger for $18. A single fish taco for $15 or two for $18. Remember, folks, this is essentially a pub; complete with the dirty floors (and bathrooms) that go with it. Yes, I understand it's a resort, but every other restaurant in the area manages to field a decent $10 burger. (We decided that they're trying to pay off a recent expansion in a single year.) All the above was completed by a waitress that couldn't seem to tear herself away from her phone for more than a few moments. At one point we started to order dinner and after two people had told her their choices, she wandered off to help another table for 4-5 minutes. Needless to say we changed our minds about eating there, ever, and moved to another local eatery. Seriously, if you can't go to a brew pub for the beer, the food, or at very least the service...why go? Lone Peak Brewery, it used to be good.

Love the beer, never had a bad meal here but honestly I have never had good service here. No matter if its just filling a growler or sitting down for a meal the service here is pitiful! I like the chicken wings & sandwiches on the menu, nothing special but usually a descent meal.

Vicky is the worst waitress ever. We have a condo in Big Sky and will not visit the brewery because of this women. Three strikes you are out. First time visited the brewery she screamed across the room not to touch the scuffle board. We were just checking it out. Then she was awful the whole visit. The second time we a had a good sized group and she was just plain mean to everyone. We went there yesterday we sat down at a table and she screamed at us for sitting at a table with six chairs. We had six people. However, the last two were just parking there car. Then she was nasty the whole time she waited on us. Then she was eating at the bar instead of giving service. Good luck guys. I wish i could give zero stars.

Love the vibe, beer and food. Great place to stop after a day on the mountain. The service could use help, badly. We've stopped in 5 times in the last month and each time the waitress has messed up our order(yea, the same waitress each time). Very frustrating.

Stopped in to Meadow Village and the Lone Peak Brewery Wednesday on our way to the airport. Fantastic lunch! I didn't have the beer but my boyfriend said it was good. You can try all their brews in small 4oz glasses which would have been fun if we weren't driving! Cool little spot, I would recommend anyone in the area to go. The turkey panini and bison burger were both great! The shopping in Meadow Village is sparse, but I would recommend going to "horse of a different color" if you are going to Lone Peak Brewery anyway. Great gifts!

  • Anna B.

I have really tried to like this brewery, but I just can't. Porter and Steep and Deep are just heavy. No real complexity or flavor profile, just heavy and dark. I love my beer and I like dark beer, but it has to have flavor to make me keep drinking it. I think their fresh hopped brown ale is a good beer, though. I would recommend that to anybody. IPA is alright, but if you're an IPA fan and have had IPAs from outside of Montana, you will be bored. Just get the fresh hopped brown ale if they have it. Ok so now the food part. Again, nothing really special. Prices are on par with the rest of the resort, but more expensive than people from out of town want to pay, but hey you're in the middle of nowhere what can you expect? Except there was this one time that I ordered a burger to go in between my 2 jobs. Just asked for a regular burger, they gave me and charged me for the more expensive bison burger when I just wanted a regular burger. I didn't realize this at the time of payment or else I would have made them charge me for the regular burger. Got to my second job and was super hungry and wolfed down the burger only to find PIECES OF ALUMINUM FOIL ON MY BURGER! WTF?! Also the bbq sauce I ordered on the side was like, 80% molasses. Like they started making some bbq sauce and forgot all of the other ingredients. Service is iffy.

i have enjoyed many beers at lone peak, especially their ESB. food has enough spice to curl some socks, and the shuffle board is an unknown passion before you walk in the door. it's a shame i have to write this. some friends and i, celebrating the end of the season, went to the brewery for dinner and beer. we had 8 people at our table, who all ate and drank. i wasn't fully aware of it, but the owner was watching us from the bar until we were leaving. one of our party left his wallet in the car. as the rest of us are paying and getting ready to leave, he verbally acknowledged his wallet was in the car. this is when the owner steps up at the door, saying she needs an ID or a credit card before anyone can leave. being a local, and a regular, i told her to relax, the bill will be paid. she follows us out, saying the same thing over and over. this is when i realize, she thinks we're ditching the bill. i tell my friend searching for his wallet to calm her down by showing his face, and we'll look for the wallet. we find the wallet. start walking back into the bar, and my friend is in a screaming match with the owner, about cops and god knows what else. we hand him the wallet, and she takes it out of his hands, pulls out a wad of money and walks away. no change, and 'gratuity' added. it was so heated and bizarre, we were in shock. we left with a very irritated member of our party, who is an honest man that wanted to pay his bar tab. being accused of stealing before you can pay a bill is ludicrous. i can safely say my friend will never step foot in there again. ever. i have my hesitations of returning.. the thought of being accosted is fairly unsettling.

Good selection of beers but that's all this place has going for it. The waiter was rude and slow and the food was below-average and over-priced.

It probably seems like all my reviews are 5-star but, that's because I will only review the greats and the really bads. The others, just haven't made time to get them in. We were having a long day of driving in some pretty horrific weather and, since we were at the tail-end of the winter season, a lot of the local establishments were closed. Lone Peak Brewpub was one of the few places open, so we ended up there. The minute I walked in, I felt like this was exactly what we were looking for. Great atmosphere and the staff was so friendly...to everyone! I have food allergies and am one of the pickiest eaters around. I started asking my usual questions and our server just kept saying, "yes" and going back and checking with the kitchen when he wasn't sure. I ended up with the most fantastic lunch and it was all because their food is hand-made. My friend had the Philly Cheesesteak w/ au jus and said it was the best au jus she'd ever had! This was a great surprise and I can't wait to go back.

Recently tagged along with hubby for a conference that he had in Big Sky (yes, I wanted to get some snowboarding in). After an awesome day of nordic skiing and his friends arrival we hopped in the car to head down to the Lone Peak Brewery. We knew nothing more going in than they brew beer (a good thing) and serve food (an excellent thing since I was starving). The Brewery is small but we timed our arrival just right that there was a group leaving and we were able to snag a 4 top. The beers are pretty tasty. I started with the Pale Ale which was solid. JP had the bourbon beer which tasted and smelled like bourbon...he was pretty much in heaven since it was combining two of his favorite things. The other guys ordered the seasonal IPA which they enjoyed. The menu is what you would expect at a MT brew pub...typical pub grub with some bison thrown into the mix (including a bison burger and a bison brat). 3 of us ordered one of the specials...the Angry Buffalo (their take on a bison burger with some jalapeno sauce) and the 4th had the brat. We started with nachos which I can't say were anything special but they tasted heavenly in my mouth as they made their way down to my very empty stomach. The burgers were okay...a bit dry, especially when I compare it to the bison/elk burger JP ordered the next day at The Cabin when we stopped for a lunch break during skiing...that burger was really moist and tasty, but overall the beers are tasty and the food was okay. Even though it was a packed house service was still great...the staff really knows their beer. JP's second beer was recommended by one of the bartenders...it was his personal fave (I think it was the oatmeal). I was feeling super full from the beer and the food so I went with a blonde for my second beer. It was a solid choice for me since I tend to like lighter beers (yes, I know, I know...wimpy beer drinker but I am okay with that). If you find yourself in Big Sky for the skiing, stop in and grab a pint at the Lone Mountain Brewery, play some shuffleboard and mingle with the locals. You'll have fun!

The only brewery around for quite a few miles, but worth going. Has a local feel even though it is in a high tourist area. The beer is decent and the prices are lower then other pubs in the area selling the same beer. The outdoor seating is fine when the sun is sitting low in the sky or the temp is mild. It can get a bit loud inside. Staff was friendly and kids were welcome.

Stellar beers and awesome food. Staff is super-friendly and laid back (Big Sky style). Free shuffleboard in the bar and arcade style skee-ball across the hall.

Great small Brewery. Great ipa beer and I'm not typically a beer fan. Great small town owner but not trashy at all. Good bison burgers too.

So we stop in here on the way back from West Yellowstone's car show on Saturday. Place is super small and was packed, that takes all of about 30 people. Looks more like a restaurant than a brewery. We grab a couple beers at the bar and relax. The Porter is So-So, nothing bad but not very inspired either. My girlfriend had the IPA, low down on the hops for sure. Nothing interesting until these two guys walk in and sit down next to us at the bar. The younger seems excited that they sell and rent Folf Disks and asks if there is a course nearby. The chick bartender replies with kind of a smart assed "yes, do you think we would have these if there wasn't". I looked up to see if her face looked funny like she knew them, but I could tell she didn't. Neither one said anything to her. They ordered two beers and started talking. About 15 mins later the younger one asked the bartender if she knew how many IBU's his beer was. She said she didn't know what that was. He replied it was something that they use to measure the hop content. She replied with a sarcastic, " I am a server not a brewer. He replied I know, you just served our beer. this is when she lost it. she started yelling and swearing numerous things but the one that stood out was " I don't know fu*king everything and I have had a bad day..." more swearing. They both said something like wow and laughed. I didn't catch what she said after that but the younger one then swore at her and they left. I know people have bad days but dam. If it is that bad you might need to go home. I know we won't be back. Not only because of the wait staff losing it but it is just too far out of the way to frequent for the fairly boring beer that they sell here.

The manager/owner is completely rude and unprofessional. I came here for lunch with my family as I had heard the food was good and I like their beer. Unfortunately the manager/owner seemed insulted that I asked her to help me find our waitress when the quesadilla I ordered from the specials menu was way too spicy for me. She went off on a rant about how the menu says that all the quesadillas are that spicy. Sorry, but I ordered it from the specials and there was no description. Regardless, it doesn't matter how hot the quesadilla was or what the signage/menu did or didn't say. In the service industry the customer is always right. If you don't understand that, you are in the wrong profession. I have worked in the service industry and this woman won't make it very far with an attitude like that. I'm surprised she can find employees willing to work for her. I won't be eating here again and you should spare yourself from horrible customer service and go somewhere else. The food isn't good enough to make up for the bad service.

My family and I ski Big Sky every year and I, frankly, really wanted this place to be good. Great news: it is. Tried the IPA and the Belgian White. Both highly recommended. Just because it's a microbrewery doesn't guarantee good. In this case, it does.

No one accused the owner of dirty looks- just bad food, bad service and a bad attitude. Enjoyed Big Sky, Lone Peak Brewery was my only complaint.

Awesome brewery, awesome brews, good food, great service, awesome location. What more do you need? Driving up from West Yellowstone to Bozeman today we swung into Big Sky and Lone Peak for lunch. It was awesome. My great wife said she would drive the rest of the way, so I got to sample four beers. All were great, but the American Bitter stood out for me. The wife and I, and the kids, had Buffalo Burgers. The server was especially receptive to the kids, and made sure they were entertained. The burgers were done to perfection. The pub is small, but adequate, and nicely appointed. Very homey feel. I could see spending the evening here after a day snowboarding in the winter months. Very cool place, and I highly recommend.

Honestly, I have a house in Big Sky, and every time I've been to the brewery, they've been more than accommodating! GOOD BEER, GOOD FOOD (fast)! I'm not sure why everyone is complaining. You would think everyone would be a little more understanding. It's stressful in a restaurant full of picky people. When you get there, there is a welcoming face, and someone asking you what they could do for you. 'Would you like a beer, drink, we will be with you in a second! ANYTHING YOU'D LIKE.' I think people need to lighten up. You're on vacation for god's sake.. right?. If you go somewhere where the restaurant is full, might want to be understanding if you have to wait for a minute! This is some of the best beer and the fastest food I can get anywhere in Big Sky! I know life can be frustrating, but JEEEZ! A bunch of negative Nancies! OH, and did I mention, I think they're expanding! ...To deal with the high volume of customers! I hope you'll give them another try, because the brewery is a really good place to go and relax after a long day of skiing!!!
